Sometimes you just want to hear it like it is from a fellow traveler. And that’s why Off The Clock Nurse is the latest entry in PPR’s Hot Blog series

Off The Clock Nurse blogger and travel nurse Leah Helmbrecht is an RN, BSN specializing in OR. According to her blog’s “About” section she’s spent the past six-plus years traveling and as a result has worked in, lived in, visited, or at the least driven through 49 states. She’s also been able to travel internationally.

“I have found my passion for travel and recently mustered up the courage to venture off internationally,” writes Leah on her blog. “Sometimes I will go with friends, meet them there, or travel solo. On the side I am hired to do freelance writing by different travel companies. I can’t believe this life of mine and how lucky I am to be given these opportunities to see the world. I hope you all enjoy my blog. Please leave your comments and questions.”

Off The Clock Travel Nurse features detailed tellings of Leah’s many adventures, stateside and abroad, and each blog is accompanied by gorgeous photography. For example, her blog titled “Living the Northern California Life: A 13-Week Experience,” she shares tidbits of history, reviews of specific attractions and trails, tips on things like where to stop off for a great tomato soup and grilled cheese combo alongside practical tips on things like gas prices, and so much more!

Leah’s friendly, at-ease writing style and (again I cannot overstate this) beautiful photography alone make Off The Clock Travel Nurse a great blog for travel nurses to follow. But it’s also so valuable to be able to get this perspective from a veteran traveler who truly knows the ins and outs of the industry and the road!

Visit Off The Clock Nurse to follow along on Leah’s exciting journey and to gain inspiration for you own adventures!
