There is nothing more romantic than falling in love while traveling. If you’ve ever experienced finding love on assignment, then you’re familiar with the thrill and spontaneity of meeting someone special in a new and unfamiliar place.

You never know who you might meet

Traveling presents the perfect opportunity for meeting new people. Maybe new friends? Maybe the love of your life? You just never know who you’ll meet next. Like every great love story, finding love on assignment usually starts with a simple, “Hello.” We are all much more open to meeting new people and making new friends, while in a new place.

Experiencing the joys of traveling together

Every new travel assignment is like an open invitation for new experiences. You are in an unfamiliar place, full of new things to explore. Why do it alone? After all, having someone special to show you around can be beneficial when you only have around 13 weeks to spare. It’s almost like having a tour guide with extra benefits.

Goodbyes are the hardest part.

Saying goodbye is the worst part…especially when love’s involved. Add distance to the mix, and parting ways can seem devastating. However, you don’t want to spoil the time you do have together by anticipating your departure. It is important to savor every moment by eliminating expectations of the future. Be sure to take lots of pictures to hold on to for when you part ways.

Travel fling or future ring?

It is important to have “the talk” as the last days of your assignment near. How you move forward with your relationship is not just up to you. Remember, there are two people involved. Communicate to your special someone what you want out of the relationship prior to your last week. Invite them to share their own wants and feelings. Together, it needs to be decided if this was a travel fling or future thing. Long-distance relationships can work, but it takes two.

Stay a little longer.

Time is of the essence when you are in love and far from home. Maybe you don’t have to leave just yet. Find out if there are any opportunities for you to stay a little longer with your PPR recruiter.
