When will I receive my insurance cards?

Cards should show up in a couple of weeks. But don’t worry, if you need to see the doctor before the insurance cards arrive in the mail, just ask your recruiter for instructions on how to print out the online temporary cards.

What if I prefer a hotel?

Totally cool! It’s easy living. We often set up extended stays and hotels for our travelers. The perk with this housing option is that internet and cable are included, as well as room service.

Do I have to arrange for my own utilities?

You don’t have to lift a finger. PPR will set up and pay for your utilities as part of your paid, private-housing package. No really, we’ll wait on hold with those electricity companies so you don’t have to. We got it!

What living expenses am I responsible for?

We cover the rent, furniture and utilities. If you wish to have cable and/or internet, that would be your only responsibility. PPR will provide you with the carrier for your area ahead of time, so you can get that set up.

When can I move in?

Our goal is to have you in the Friday before your assignment begins. This can vary based on availability, but we always try our best. This way you can scope out the best restaurants, find your new favorite store, do a practice run to the facility and get familiar with your new digs.

What housewares are included with my housing?

It’s pretty comprehensive, we provide all the furniture, TV (usually flat screen), all kitchen items, broom, vacuum, bathroom items and even linens. Just pack your clothes and hit the road, we’ve got you covered. Sometimes if we use a private owner this can vary, but we will let you know ahead of time.

When will my furniture arrive?

Furniture arrives the day we begin the lease, which is usually the Friday before you start. The furniture vendor has a typical 8:00 am – 6:00 pm delivery window. But, you can always move in your things and start getting settled if you arrive before the furniture gets there. And if you are not there yet, the complex leasing office will let them in for you— gotta love those guys.

Can I bring my pet?

PPR is a pet-friendly company. We love our pets, and we love yours too! Dogs, cats and birds seem to be the easiest to place. Lions, tigers and bears are… a bit more difficult.

Can I earn more money by referring friends to PPR?

We pay $1,000 for every referral that completes a 13-week contract. Unlimited payouts! It’s a great way to get paid for something you already do.

Will I get reimbursed for my travel expenses?

If you qualify, PPR provides the reimbursement in one lump sum at the beginning of your assignment. Amounts can vary based on travel time, distance, etc… but if you read that right, one lump sum at the BEGINNING of your assignment.

Will I be reimbursed for my state license?

We absolutely offer reimbursement. Just make sure you have a good old-fashioned conversation with your recruiter before your assignment begins to make sure that it is covered and/or you qualify. Don’t forget to save those receipts… you’ll need them!

Will I get paid if the hospital cancels my shift?

If the hospital cancels your shift and does not offer an opportunity to make up the cancelled shift, PPR will not prorate your housing stipend or per diem (if applicable). The guaranteed hour’s policy varies by facility and assignment, always chat with your recruiter to find out your specific guaranteed hours policy.

Can I earn more money by working extra hours?

Sure! Working overtime is a great way to earn extra money, just work with your manager to have any extra hours approved. We also can work with your facility to see if we can make your contract an expanded hour assignment, meaning working 48-hours a week with the option to earn up to double time. Ask your recruiter for details.
